Auchi Poly Management Cripples Staff Union’s N400m Account

Chairman of Non Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (NASUP), Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Edo state branch, Mr. Andrew Oshiogbele, has accused the management of the polytechnic of crippling the union’s account over unpaid debt.

Oshiogbele made the accusation in Auchi on Thursday during a combined protest by members of the union and members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnic (SSANIP).

The protesters who marched to the palace of the paramount ruler of Auchi, over alleged illegal deduction from their salaries and failure of the management of the institution to enroll them into the Integrated Personnel Pay Roll Information System (IPPIS)‎, stating that, members of the NASUP could no longer access loans from the union’s purse due to the huge amount of money borrowed from the its account by management of the institution to the tune of N400 million.

Today is the birthday of singer Timi Dakolo. He turns 35 years old.
Timi Dakolo was born in Accra, Ghana. He grew up in the city of Port-Harcourt, and started singing at the age of 12.

13 years ago, he joined the group Purple Love. Two years later they disbanded.
In 2006 Timi Dakolo took part in West Africa Idols and won the competition. His life changed ever since.

Today with a couple of albums under his belt he is one of the biggest soul singers in the country.

NO Foreign Transactions with your Naira ATM/Debit/Credit Cards from January 2016

A recent email sent by Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria to its customers has revealed the Central Bank of Nigeria’s plan to hault all foreign (non-Naira) transactions on Naira ATM, Debit and Credit cards effective January 1 2016.
What this means is that, if you travel abroad and try to use your card, it will not work. If you shop online and the transaction is billed in any foreign currency, it will not work. If you are in Nigeria and try to use your card fo a foreign currency transaction, it will not work.
