The list of nominations for the 87th Academy Awards has been released. Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel lead with 9 nominations followed by The Imitation Game with 8, Boyhood, 6, American Sniper, 6, Whiplash, 5, Interstellar, 5 and Foxcatcher, 5.

There is fire outbreak at a tyre warehouse in Mosheshe industrial Estate in Kirikiri town, Lagos, at the moment. The cause of the fire is unknown but it's burning with great intensity and is spreading to other parts of the factory. Men of the Lagos state Fire service are urgently needed there.

President Jonathan touches down in Maiduguri in suprise visit

President Jonathan arrived Maiduguri, Borno state, this afternoon in a surprise visit. Accompanying the President is the Chief of Defense staff, Air Vice Marshall Alex Badeh and National Security adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Pres.
