Two suspected kidnappers burnt beyond recognition in Benue

Two suspected kidnappers were burnt beyond recognition at Bristow roundabout in Gboko area of Benue state today July 17th. The men were reportedly on the verge of kidnapping a woman when they were apprehended and the jungle justice was meted on them by a mob. Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in forthcoming governorship election in Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has selected  Etsako Constituency Federal House of Representatives member, Mr. Philip Shaibu, as his running mate.

‎Shaibu was a former majority leader in the Edo State House of Assembly, under Etsako West II, where Governor Adams Oshiomhole hails from.
Obaseki said the choice of the federal lawmaker was reached after consultations with the party’s leadership.
He also described Shaibu as a youthful politician, whose wealth of political experience will contribute to the task of bringing meaningful development to the state.
Meanwhile, people with disability in the state have backed the aspiration of the APC candidate, saying that his love for the youth of the state will help check unemployment in the state.
